Take time to nourish
your soul, mind, and
body with Words of
wisdom and relaxation
WOW! Can you believe that we are already in the seventh month
of the year two thousand and nine! I have to work hard to keep
up with time and I know God is challenging me to accomplish
what He has for me in this season, at this time.

I encourage all women to persevere in the economic climate we
are all forced to contend with. Women are resilient, we have this
innate ability to reach deep within for creative opportunities to
provide for our children, hold down a job, cook, clean, take care
of our significant other, and still look good and walk with pride in
the midst of it all.

The Art of Resilience!

We chose this topic, looked for a cover lady that has been in the
game for a long time, weathered several storms with grace, and
still manage to keep it all together. I chose Elizabeth Taylor for her
lifelong impact on my life. I remember watching Liz when I was a
child and always thought how incredibly beautiful she was and I
loved her flair; she was sexy, witty, confident, demanding, alluring,
transformative, and meaningful.

As the years would go by she would encounter several challenges
in her personal life with such grace and ease, it was her artistry of
resilience that makes her a favorite to many women both old and
young.

Also in this issue you will meet women whom I applaud for their
apparent strength and determination to survive cancer. Everyday I
pray for them each and thank God for their resilience.

Get to know Chief Judge Leah Ward Sears, the first woman and
first African-American elected to such an office in Georgia, and
Terri Murphy the power forward in communications.

Be on the move, read the profiles of the ladies featured in this issue
and be empowered to stay relevant, reinvent your fashion style,
change the decor in your home, chose a healthier lifestyle, go to
the spa to be rejuvenated, get a good Word that feed your spirit,
listen to the amazing genre of jazz, take in a good movie, pray
over your finances, above all stay resilience, model supernatural
success!
